David Beaumont
David has been working in the tourism industry for nearly 30 years which has taken him to over 150 countries. Having organised tours to those countries, he frequently had the responsibility of directing the tours which involved imparting a great deal of information on a daily basis. After an intense guideing course in 2014/2015, David began guiding overseas and British tourists in London and the home counties. “While we spent hours and hours training to speak into a microphone on the front of the coach, in my opinion, by far the best way to see a city close up, is on foot. The client sees everything so much more clearly, the speed of the traffic doesn’t define how much and for how long you see the sight and there’s plenty of time for questions and answers.” explains David.
“Most visitors that London is made up of two very different but equally important cities, namely Westminster and the City of London.” David’s Westminster and City tours are an excellent introduction to the vital parts of history which has shaped London today. Once clients have experienced the essential foundation of London’s history, take time to explore some other less-visited but equally worthy London boroughs such as his home in Richmond, home to British and French Royalty. Indeed, at one time, the French had their embassy there and their only fire engine was named after the king!
“I like my tours to be informative but fun too. You’ll always get a golden nugget. Why is a stiff drink so-called? Come with me and find out.”
