Alice Sutton
‘Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.’ Samuel Johnson, 1777.
3 centuries later and Johnson’s words still ring true as London continues to entertain, teach and stimulate our senses. A city that appeals to people from all walks of life and an opportunity to be taken on a tour by experienced guide, Alice.
Alice is a qualified guide with the City of Westminster and has been leading tours across the West End for a number of years. Alice’s love for guiding began as a volunteer at the Benjamin Franklin House Museum where visitors are taken on tours around his home in central London. 7 years as a sight seeing tour guide on the open top buses provided a bird’s eye view and in-depth knowledge of the key landmarks and historic sites in the West End. Currently, Alice can be found further along the Thames, at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich where she leads tours around the historic and celebrated Painted Hall.
Alice came to London 11 years ago as a Drama and Performance graduate from Staffordshire University and trained at the London Music School as a singer and drummer. A love for musical theatre and a natural storyteller, she provides an entertaining commentary and shares her love and passion for London on her tours.
In her spare time, Alice enjoys exploring hidden gems and places of interest across the city, always learning and never tiring of what London has to teach and inspire us. This fuels the content of her tours to provide you with a full and enjoyable experience. The city really is a land of wonder and Alice’s enthusiasm and knowledge shines through as she leads you through the streets and secrets of this magical city.
